MXL: Interview with the Coordinator
MXL is a EC co-funded project, whose main goal is to enhance the safety of osteoarthritis patients undergoing surgery using computational modelling from clinically available x-rays, so to minimize the risk of overload and instability for optimized function and joint longevity. The project has recently closed, bringing some outstanding outcome.

The definition of the Digital Patient high on the DISCIPULUS roadmap agenda
The revision of the definition of the Digital Patient was one of the highlighted discussion points at the last DISCIPULUS project meeting that took place at the UCL Bloomsbury campus on March 18th, 2013. The discussion focused on what makes the ‘Digital Patient’: descriptive, integrative and predictive.

VPHOP: Interview with the Coordinator
During its four years of activities the VPHOP consortium has developed, validated and deployed a personalised multi-scale modelling technology able to predict in a much more accurate way the absolute risk of fracture in patients with low bone mass and assist clinicians in prognosis and treatment planning (both pharmacological and interventional). VPHOP has recently came to an end bringing some excellent results.
