Research Fellow /Senior Research Fellow Appointment

Application deadline: 6 November 2015

Research Collaboration on “Computational Modelling of Multispecies Biofilms: Understanding Conductivity” between Singapore Centre on Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE) and Complexity Institute (CI) at NTU

The project has an opening for Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow in Biophysics. The project will include detailed numerical modelling of multispecies quorum sensing biofilms and the application to electrolyte and fuel cell purposes. It focuses on understanding the underlying physics regarding conduction with the help of complex modeling. In addition, lab work on growing biofilms and data analyses for that is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting research experiments and data analysis
  • Particle based modelling of biofilms
  • Writing research reports and papers
  • Supervising and training research staff
  • Develop new experimental protocols

Requirements

  • A PhD degree in Materials Science/Biophysics/Computational Science or related fields
  • Good scientific writing and communication skills are essential.
  • Interest in Microbiology is essential

Applications should include full curriculum vitae, publication lists and information on years of experiences in research work, and names and contact information (e-mail and telephone). Please send applications to ngbw@ntu.edu.sg by 6 November 2015.

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
