Research Assistant position in Computational Biology at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore

A Research assistant position is available at the Complexity Institute at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. The multidisciplinary program is in the area of innate immunity and inflammation, where the Complexity Institute has recently proposed a hypothesis for the immunological role of alkaline phosphatase. 

Responsibilities 

The research assistant will work on data analysis and parameter estimation for a mathematical model for the role of alkaline phosphatase during inflammatory events. 

Requirements 

• M.Sc. Degree in a computational biology field in combination with computer science and or mathematics. 
  
• Strong scientific background in mathematical modelling, data analysis and biology. 
  
• Preferably applicants should have documented experience with Mathematica and parameter optimization. 
  
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills 
  
• Ability to work with little supervision. 
  

Research at Complexity Institute is highly interdisciplinary and collaborative, and we expect successful candidate to publish in refereed journals, and to collaborate with other scientists. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
