On Wednesday 25 May 2016, an event will take place at the European Parliament where the European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC) and PatientView will ask about cancer care pathways to a panel of experts. The event will be hosted by MEP Cristian-Silviu Busoi (EPP, Romania). The aim is to assess the status of mHealth in cancer care, and to draw recommendations to EU policy makers regarding the development of mHealth/eHealth in the field of cancer.
This event might be interesting for stakeholders in Brussels seeing the potential of digital health and the increasing role of mHealth apps. mHealth and eHealth are becoming realities in Europe: this is demonstrated by the growing size of mHealth apps’ market, by the raising investments in eHealth infrastructures and by the fast adoption, at various degrees, of mHealth applications by patients.
