This yearโs Fickle Heart Conference 2025 will be taking place on Monday 08 September โ Tuesday 09 September 2025 in Sheffield.
The Fickle Heart is a series of events which aim to share best practice and raise the profile of uncertainty quantification (UQ) in cardiac and cardiovascular modelling and simulation.
As cardiac models have become more widespread, there has been increasing interest in building personalised models that can be used for both hypothesis testing and forecasting. Taking account of uncertainties in both data and models is a key aspect of linking computational models to real hearts and safety-critical decision making.
The 2025 meeting will pick up on the twin themes of uncertainty quantification and digital twins, and their relevance to models of cardiac electrophysiology, cardiac mechanics, and the cardiovascular system as a whole.
