In September 2017, the mandate of the current members of the Board of Trustees will expire and the General Assembly will elect a new Board.
By statute, the VPHi has two governing bodies: the Board of Directors, that actively drives the Institute activities, and theĀ Board of Trustees,Ā whose role is to supervise the operations of the Board of Directors, ensuring that such operations don't get in conflict with the interests of the membership at large and don't violate the common law and the articles of association.Ā

This board was elected in Sept 2015, and its mandate will expire in Sept 2017.
Today the VPHi officially opens the election process that will bring to the identification of the new members for the board for the next two years. It's to note that the mandate of each member of the BoT is of two terms (four years in total), so current members that haven't reached the final end of their mandate are welcome to nominate themselves for the position.
The elections process will take place in 3 steps:Ā
From today until 20 July 2017 - Call for nomination:
Every member of the VPH Institute (in good standing) will have the possibility to present a candidate for the election. To respond to the call, you shall send to the VPHi Manager (manager@vph-institute.org) the following information:
From 1 Aug to 10 Sept 2017 - Election held by electronic ballot:
Each member of the Institute will receive the electronic ballot and will be given the possibility to vote, holding one vote.Ā
28 Sept 2017 Ā - Official announcement
At its annual meeting, the General Assembly will officially announce the results of the elections, and the BoT will take charge.Ā
