VPH showcases the value, impact and outcomes of stakeholder engagement, within Horizon project – SimCardioTest, a consortium of hearts.
Janaki Raman R. and Zita Van Horenbeeck represented the VPH team at the final General Assembly of Horizon 2020 project SimCardioTest. During the event, held on June 16 and 17 at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), Barcelona, The team reported on VPH’s contributions in the context of stakeholder engagement and ongoing communication efforts in and beyond the project.The recently published "in silico medicine INFOKIT" was also promoted as a key tool to advocate for the value of meaningful stakeholder engagement and clear communication within the in silico medicine community.
The final event offered a rich overview of the project's accomplishments across its various work packages, spanning use cases in Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion device, pacing leads, and drug safety, as well as model standardisation, certification, and platform development. A knowledge exchange session with local clinicians at Hospital de Sant Pau set the tone for open dialogue and illustrated the practical value of interdisciplinary collaboration, while the final day featured an engaging round table with sister EU projects, fostering reflection on shared challenges and opportunities for future collaboration.
