Introducing in silico medicine to the medical community of Greece

The new scientific, technological and progressively clinical domain of in silico medicine was introduced to the wider medical community of Greece by Prof. Stamatakos during the 6th Forum “Biosciences, Innovation, Technology and Cancer: From Prevention to Treatment.

On 15th October 2021, our member and financial auditor, Prof. Georgios Stamatakos participated as an invited speaker and session chair in the 6th Forum “Biosciences, Innovation, Technology and Cancer: From Prevention to Treatment” that took place in Athens but was also a virtual event.

In the framework of that medical conference, he had the opportunity to introduce in silico medicine to the broader medical community of Greece. More than 1000 participants were connected to the event via electronic means.

Furthermore, he presented the main aspects of the running EU project BOUNCE on the development of in silico models to predict resilience of women after breast cancer treatment.
