The Science|Business network will hold its annual conference on Horizon2020 on February 16, 2016 in Brussels.
The event will discuss Horizon2020’s near future: after a strong start and a surge in applications, will its overall annual budget be kept in this year’s EU funding review? How can it deal with the continuing tide of grant applications? And is it, in fact, having any impact on the innovation landscape in Europe?
Among the speakers, the event will feature Carlos Moedas, EU Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, Robert-Jan Smits, Director-General at DG for Research and Innovation, and Jean-Claude Burgelman, Head of Unit in Science Policy and Foresight, DG RTD.
Important discussion points will be Open Innovation and Open science, ERC outreach campaign launch, the European Innovation Council creation, and finally the 2016-2017 work programme and strategies for success.
