Visualization of Physiology & Function - Marco Viceconti

Prof Marco Viceconti, Executive Director of the VPH Institute, discusses the role of image and video analysis in Bio-Mechanics, emphasising the need for advanced spatio-temporal and multi-scale visualization approaches. He further highlights some latest developments in the ‘Digital Virtual Physiological Human Patient’ initiative, which aims to integrate medical and biomechanical models and data to support medicine. This talk was presented at VIZBI 2012, an international conference series on visualizing biological data.
